We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Tongston Ventures Intern

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Internship

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out the due diligence process, engaging with founders and the fund partners; collecting, organizing, and analyzing reported information
  • Screening and reviewing investment opportunities
  • Preparing Investment Memos to present to the Investment Committee
  • Supporting communication, including working on presentations and contributing to the T-Ventures online presence and reach
  • Undertaking market research
  • Conducting financial analysis and modeling
  • Product development and implementation
  • Development of business development tools and resources to support clients’ business
  • Development and implementation of investment policy, investment review and due diligence tools for efficient identification, processing, and management of businesses or supporting intrapreneurs

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification
  • At least 6 months' experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, having lived, studied or worked on the continent or strong cultural knowledge of the continent
  • At least 6 months experience in a private equity/venture capital investment fund, an investment bank, a management consultancy, a business development firm, or an audit firm is required
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with the capacity to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and skills
  • At least 6 months of hands-on business development/advisory skills and experience
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High integrity, ethics and work standards
  • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Possess Entrepreneurial attitude, skills and knowledge
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools (PowerPoint word and excel)
