We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Responsibilities
This person will:

• Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures, donor agencies and federal regulations
• Identify the financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk.
• Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved
• Assess the efficiency and productivity of internal staff and make recommendations for improvement
• Draft comprehensive and complete report of audit results and communicate findings to senior management
• Conduct risk assessment of assigned department or business area within the required timeline
• Identify reportable issues, the suitability of internal controls and the scope of risk
• Build work documents in MS Excel or using the applicable accounting software which quantify methodology and findings
• Update audit tracking data and ensure follow up actions are performed as agreed.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years relevant work experience.
• The individual must be in possession of an ACA certificate and should have previous experience in a bank and NGO.
