Partner 4 Advocacy in Child and Family Health Project, a new internationally funded development project seeks the candidates for immediate placement in a new Abuja office to manage an innovative advocacy in Child and Family Health Project implemented exclusively through indigenous Nigerian CSOs:

Duties and Responsibilities
An efficient Program Officer with a capacity for independent effort is required to carry out the following duties in the new program:
  • The Program Officer will develop, operationalize and revise project work- plans to ensure that activities are carried out as and when scheduled.
  • Establish an effective information management system.
  • Review, improve and operationalize the project's consultants management data base
  • Review and establish improved mechanisms, guidelines and operating principles for project management;
  • Produce activity and periodic reports.
  • Participate in project researches making sure that scientific principles are followed at all times; and prepare the project management systems for portfolio reviews and evaluation.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate must have a Post Graduate Degree in Public Health or the Social Sciences
  • At least 4 years experience in Development Programming with particular reference to child and family health sector;
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong report writing ability as well as technical approaches to data analysis and data presentation.
  • Ability to be systematic, develop and work with work-plans and significant technical orientation; and must have a high capacity for independent effort but at the same time be able to delegate responsibilities effectively.
Remuneration
  • Candidate will be engaged through a renewable annual contract over 3 year life of the project. There will be a 3-6 month probationary/consultancy period. Package is competitive. suitable for residing in FCT.
