Black Pen Recruitment - Our client is Africa’s portal into the crypto economy. They are building a financial structure that is centralised in crypto exchange, a lending platform, an NFT marketplace, and other products to fully bring Sub-Saharan Africa into the new world of decentralised finance, ownership, and creativity. With the backing of premier crypto investors and Silicon Valley VC firms, they are now structuring the introduction of their first product set to our launch markets, which are in Kenya and Nigeria.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Investment (FinTech / Cryptocurrency)

Location: Lagos
Job Type: On Site / Full-time

Responsibilities

• Engaging with clients and financial institutions to understand and obtain the required data to support each portfolios valuation
• Working with the analytics team to develop new and existing cashflow forecasting using statistical modelling to support pricing assumptions
• Writing and presenting Investment memorandums for board approval
• Working with Operational/Implementation departments within the business to support and execute portfolio migration plans post purchase
• Build professional relationships through participating in client/ Bank functions.
• Resolve investment issues raised by the client by examining their concerns and providing feedback
• Participate in the Investment Strategy Committee meeting- put forward investment views regarding asset allocation and buying / selling shares and other financial instruments for discussion and debate.

Requirements

• +5 years of experience in a similar role
• Familiar with investment business processes, relevant laws and regulations.
• Be able to use financial valuation models to analyse and value investment projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Have the ability to implement investment plans in a short period of time
• Be able to judge global industry trends.
