Black Pen Recruitment - Our client is Africa's portal into the crypto economy. They are building a financial structure that is centralised in crypto exchange, a lending platform, an NFT marketplace, and other products to fully bring Sub-Saharan Africa into the new world of decentralised finance, ownership, and creativity. With the backing of premier crypto investors and Silicon Valley VC firms, they are now structuring the introduction of their first product set to our launch markets, which are in Kenya and Nigeria.

Job Title: Lead Research Analyst (FinTech / Cryptocurrency)

Responsibilities

• Establish and constantly enhance the company’s organizational understanding of the global and regional cryptocurrency, regulatory, business, investment, and financial landscape.
• Be curious and passionate about research
• Comfortably step between investigating new developments in Central Africa financial regulation, crafting a presentation on a new up-and-coming Senegalese NFT collection, and writing a paper comparing current offerings in microlending in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Self-starter who can directly execute on complex projects while simultaneously feeding your own curiosity about the parts of the cryptoverse and broader landscape that you’re personally most passionate about.ify and execute new and interesting ways to leverage integrations to drive mutual value for the company and its partners.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in a research or analysis role at a top-tier Investment Banking or Management Consulting firm. Comparable backgrounds with 2+ years’ experience will be considered  
• Experience with or strong interest in finance, crypto, regulatory evolution, blockchain, African business, and the global economy
• A proven ability to produce deep, well-rounded, decision-driving research reports for a senior audience
• Top-calibre writing and presentation-crafting skills
• Razor sharp quantitative ability coupled with a deep capacity for data analysis
• An authentic interest in learning that transcends any job description; arguably insatiable curiosity is a plus.
