Job Title: MEP Technical Office Manager

Location:

Job Description
  • We are looking for an experienced Expatriate MEP Technical Office Manager to join our MEP team. You will have ideally worked in a large construction company in a similar position where you have worked on both residential and commercial buildings.
  • The key functions of the role are:
  • Coordinate, supervise and control MEP in house technical office design activity inclusive of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, special systems (data, phone, FAS etc.)
  • Ensure the compatibility and overlay of all systems with architectural and structural designs
  • Interface with external partners providing design and engineering services in order to include their work seamlessly within the project context
  • Provide input in the preliminary design phase regarding all MEP disciplines
  • Development and implementation of internal standards for MEP design
  • Provide a technology watch both for the MEP techniques and materials, and the technical office design tools
  • Establishment and implementation of quality control plans and procedures
  • Ensure execution of work in accordance with applicable project procedures and standards and promptly give visibility and escalate to management any potential deviation from plans
  • Review the MEP technical office design and engineering schedule regularly and ensure that it goes in pace with the rest of the project
  • Produce the MEP engineering progress reports based on information prepared by each discipline
  • Review all MEP drawings and specification prior to forwarding to client for approval, and before release for fabrication or construction
  • Foster a team spirit amongst the MEP technical office engineers and extend it to a spirit of full collaboration with the other engineering specialties and construction
Desired Skills and Experience
  • We are situated in the Oil and Gas Free Zone in Onne, Rivers State, Nigeria and our ideal candidate will be ready to embrace compound living and their excellent communication skills will be used as they will be part of a large multi-cultural team.
We are looking for candidates that have:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in analogous position
  • Ability to work with co-professional from different nationalities
  • Fluency in English at working levels
