Job Title: HSE Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Duties
- Planning safe working practices and making making necessary changes
- Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance and safety legislation
- Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely
- Undertaking risk assessment
- Liaising with relevant authorities
- Safely handling hazardous substance
- Drawing-up safe operational procedures
- Determining ways of reducing risks
- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc Degree holder
- 2-5 years working experience
- Experience in writing reports and polices for HS
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistic
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
- Outstanding organizational skills
- HSE Professional certificate is an added advantage
