St Carols Fountain School is an educational institution committed to achieving overall excellence in the upbringing of children from the age of three to eighteen years. We have Creche, Pre-school, Elementary and High School classes.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head Teacher (Primary)

Location: Owerri / Ulakwo, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students
• Adopting and working towards the implementation of the school development plan.
• Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment, behaviour of students and any other duties assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Ed, B.Sc, HND or OND qualification.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of ICT as an educator

Employer Requirements:

• A minimum of three years’ Primary School leadership/management experience
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Additional leadership and management qualifications are desirable but the correct skills and personal dispositions are more important
• Strong skills for leading early literacy and core skill development
• The ability to adapt to working with a mixed team of host in a democratic environment
• The willingness to work with the school owners and be a “team player”.
