Job Responsibilities
- Teaching pupil instrumental techniques, scales, sight reading and music theory
- Helping pupils to prepare for music examinations
- Planning individual lessons and overall schemes of work for pupils;
- Developing knowledge of materials and repertoire for students at different stages of their musical development
- Acquiring appropriate teaching materials/resources
- Teaching music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to pupils
- Ensuring up-to-date knowledge and awareness of examination requirements
- Assessing pupils abilities, providing feedback and writing reports
- Communicating with parents about their child's lessons and progress
- Must be able to recognize musical talent in students in order to encourage them to undertake further musical studies
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum of first Degree in Music education or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in similar role.
- Proficiency in Musical instruments
- Must have a strong background in Music theory.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
