The Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, has released funds for the payment of bursary awards to students who are Lagos State indigenes in tertiary institutions in Nigeria (2013/2014 set).

Requirements
All beneficiaries are expected to come along with the following documents (original and photocopies) to claim their award:
- Admission letter
- School Identification Card
- Birth certificate
- Two (2) passport photographs
- SSCE/GCE result
- JAMB Result slip
- Identification letter from Local Government Area
- Identification letter from Oba
- Bursary receipt form
- Parent's Tax clearance
- Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) identity card
- Brochure receipt (N1, 000) payable at the Office of the Special Adviser on Education, Block 5, 3rd Floor, Room 314 the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja

2014/2015 LAGOS STATE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
Furthermore, online sales of Local scholarship award forms for 2014/2015 session commenced on Monday, 27th October and will close on Monday, 3rd December, 2014. All applicants interested in taking part in the screening exercise (Computer Based Test) are expected to pay and obtain a receipt of N2, 000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only for the form.

Method of Application
Completed application forms must be submitted online along with the following scanned documents:
1.) Treasury receipt of N2, 000 for Local Scholarship form
2.) Letter of admission/confirmation of studentship from school authority
3.) Progress reports duly stamped and signed with minimum required Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA) as indicated in a to c below:
a.) Schools with maximum CGPA of 7.0, a minimum point of 4.6/7.0
b.) Schools with maximum CGPA of 5.0, a minimum point of 3.5/7.0
c.) Schools with maximum CGPA of 4.0, a minimum point of 3.0/4.0
d.) The above (a-c) applies to Medical students in 200 level while a minimum grade CREDIT is required for 200 level Medical students.
4.) School Identification card or Library Card or Health Identity card or Course Registration slip

5.) Applicants for Post Graduate (Master's Level), in addition to the documents above must possess a minimum of second class upper or its equivalent in his/her First Degree result, NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter must be uploaded
6.) Post Graduate students (PhD level) in addition to documents in 1-6 above, must also upload their Master's degree certificate

7.) Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASSRA) identification card of the applicant
8.) Documentation will commence on Monday, 1st December, 2014 at:

and will end on 31st December, 2014. The exercise will hold between 10am - 4pm, daily.
