Computer / ICT Teacher at Kingston Bridge School (KBS)

The Kingston Bridge School (KBS) is a new "Grade A" School, strategically located within Ogudu Lagos. Job Title: Computer / ICT Teacher

Location: Ogudu, Lagos

Highlights

• Delivering learning activities to pupils within approved standards, and generally using ICT effectively to support learning.
• Assessing/determining the needs of pupils,developing and implementing appropriate initiatives to support continuous learning improvement.
• Establishing & sustaining good relationships with pupils, acting as their role model and setting appropriate expectations.
• Managing classroom dynamics - promoting inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom.
• Supporting pupils- recogniseing /responding to their individual needs, encouraging them to interact and work co-operatively with each other.
• Promoting independence, and providing feedbacks to pupils regarding their progress, whilst employing appropriate initiatives to recognise/reward achievements.
• Providing advice on relevant and cost effective implementation & use of specialist resources, equipment, etc to improve learning activities.
• Providing general IT technical support to the School, teachers and staff.
• Establishing good relationships with other agencies/professionals in partnership with other teachers, to support continuous improvement in the quality of education to our pupils.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Ed. Computer Science, BSc / HND Computer Science, or related fields, plus PGDE, NCE, etc.
• Minimum of 2 years full-time classroom teaching experience as ICT teacher.
• Practical knowledge of basic computer hardware installation and software applications - including Microsoft office suite, graphics, webpage dev., digital video/audio editing, image processing, etc.
• Good knowledge of effective use of technology in a school setting, with ability to design and deliver technology-enhanced instructions.
• Proficiency in the use, and ability to teach ICT related topics at all levels of the school.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be friendly and compassionate with children
• Excellent planning/organizational, analytical and observation skills.
