Job Description
- Our client is in need of a Junior Cost Controller from a mining background with experience expansion projects to join their team on site in West Africa.
Responsibilities
- Cost control and cost reporting.
- Budget control, variation orders and change management.
- Project man-hours control and reporting.
- Project commitment and expenditure control.
- Estimating and forecasting.
- Project accounting including client invoicing and cash-flow management.
- Mentoring and training subordinates.
Requirements
Qualification and Skills:
- Costing, Quantity Surveying or Accounting qualification.
- 5 years previous experience in project cost control / cost engineering and project accounting within the mining sector.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Good financial experience with high level of accuracy.
- Computer literate in MS Office packages and cost control software.
- Experience working in multi-cultural, diverse teams.
- Previous expatriate experience in West Africa preferred.
