Al Jawda Foundation is the proprietor of Al Jawda English Schools in Khartoum, Sudan. Al Jawda schools deliver high quality, lifelong learning outcomes for all pupils. We are currently providing reliable educational service for children between KG1 to Grade 10. As a school, we follow the highly respected Cambridge international curriculum leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

We are currently seeking the services of experienced candidates who are already in the service of Government or private schools to fill the position below:

Job Title: Academic Manager

Location: Khartoum, Sudan

Description

  • We are currently seeking the services of experienced Nigerian Educationists in Sudan who are already in the service of Government or private schools that may negotiate leave of absence for two or three years with their employers appointed to teach in our schools.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Setting learning objectives for pupils/students and teachers
  • Implementing and monitoring school plans, policies and child protection protocols
  • Overseeing administrative tasks like updating staff records and day-to-day duties.
  • Monitoring and reporting on teacher performance.
  • Presenting data from school performance to the school manager and technical bureau
  • Organizing school events and assemblies.
  • Handling emergencies and school crises.
  • Providing guidance and counseling to teachers and parents.
  • Participating in interviewing and hiring school personnel.
  • Organizing regular staff meetings and reporting the minutes to the school manager
  • Fostering a healthy learning environment for our pupils students.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Education
  • At least 15 years of teaching and administrative experience
  • A valid Teaching Certificate
  • Maximum age of 45.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Previous experience as an academic manager or in a similar role will be a distinct advantage.
  • High levels of integrity, commitment and personal conduct will be expected of the candidate for this position.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to mentor and inspire.
