Job Description
  • Responsible for supporting talent solutions to support for MEA - focused primarily on S/D and Sales
  • Develop talent strategy in conjunction with MEA Talent Director to support business drivers, identify talent gaps and design solutions to close gaps and support business growth
  • Manage execution of programs by working closely with each of the Talent Pillars (Global Mobility, Business & Technical Leadership, Learning, Workforce Management, and Recruitment), the IST, and Centers of Competence (Professional Development, Retention & Performance Management, and Workforce Planning) and other parts of HR
  • Partner with MEA HR Leaders and Business Leaders to understand business strategy and growth plan. Accountable to the business for defining and ensuring the most critical talent gaps are closed in order to deliver on IBM business strategy
  • Provide advice and guidance on talent solutions to GMU Industry and Value Creation HRP, support in their growth play talent needs
  • Planning and programs to encompass development and career progression of onboard employees; recruitment of new employees where new talent and skills are required; resource deployment and mobility to move capabilities to high impact roles, and fulfilling long-term management and leadership requirements, where gaps based on strategic direction and/or growth plans are anticipated.
  • Manage Professional Development Programs for MEA cross line of business
  • translate PD strategy into PD-specific priorities, solutions, and activities and implementation of the PD strategy
  • Partner with business leaders and other HR leaders to deeply understand people-related needs/challenges, advise on appropriate PD solutions and provide both leadership and support in execution
  • Deliver a portfolio of PD services and solutions to help business leaders and practitioners reach their ultimate potential, while solving broader people-related needs/challenges
  • Promote the use of Expertise Locator, the mobile app, and facets of the eventual EA Tool replacement
  • Prepare IBMers and their managers in MEA to have meaningful and result-oriented career development discussions that support employee development, career velocity, and business imperatives, through continued initiatives under the “Grow your Career @ MEA” campaign (workshops, 1:1 career counseling, …)
  • Increase adoption of Career Framework
  • Application of promotion guidelines vs capability levels
  • Use of Career Framework data points to support business decisions (usage of capability across GMT employee base, spread within capability across levels, analysis of band vs capability levels, …)
  • Manage yearly Expertise Assessment / Strategic Skills Questionnaire end to end
  • Success Measures
  • Positively impact business outcomes by identifying talent gaps, and designing programs and initiatives to successfully address those gaps as demonstrated through defined targets and progress metrics.
  • Build HR Organizational capability by filling critical job roles and building pipeline of high potential talent for critical job roles.
  • Effective risk management in addressing uncertainty and key business challenges.
  • Design/development of key HR strategies enabling strong execution on the ground.
  • Recognized as trusted adviser to HR & BU Leaders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 8 years experience in Training Ability, time management and ability to multi task
  • English: Fluent
