They are building financial infrastructure—a centralised crypto exchange; and a wallet, a lending platform, an NFT platform, and other products—to fully bring Sub-Saharan Africa into the new world of decentralised finance, ownership, and creativity.

With the backing of premier crypto investors and Silicon Valley VC firms, they are now approaching the introduction of their first products to their launch markets, which are Kenya and Nigeria. Job Title: Director of Partnerships (FinTech / Cryptocurrency)

Responsibilities

  • Help establish and strengthen business relationships across the global crypto/blockchain landscape, as well as across the booming Web3, NFT, and DeFi sectors. 
  • Understand, define, and adjust the foundation's value proposition for both developers, as well as blockchain ecosystem partners
  • Network and grow the pipeline of partners to support the company’s ecosystem
  • Take ownership of post-partnership execution and partner success stories marketing
  • Work with the company’s existing partners and investors to grow their network
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across developer relations, product, business, and marketing to ensure they are working effectively with the partners

Requirements

  • Demonstrated passion for crypto, blockchain, Web3, and the client’s mission to succeed at the crypto-transformation of Africa
  • 4+ years of experience in networking and business development with a successful track record of securing and evolving partnerships across the global crypto and blockchain landscapes; investing experience a plus
  • A demonstrable network among top business executives, creators, and builders across the blockchain, Web3, and crypto industries
  • Proven experience with token sales/ICO marketing, as well as with token whitepaper development.
  • In-depth understanding & relevant experience in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, including a strong grasp of trends, themes, tokenomics, communities, etc., and of concepts such as blockchain, protocols, Defi, NFTs, DAOs, and other crypto-native technologies
  • The ability to multitask and to manage varied priorities across multiple stakeholders that are geographically dispersed  
  • You are adaptable to an ever-changing environment and do not shy away from accountability.
