Job Title: Fund Accountant

Job Description

  • We are currently recruiting for a Fund Accountant for our client, the candidate should have great experience in Financial Sector.
  • You are required to act as a finance business partner to key stakeholders in and outside the organization.
  • You will be expected to provide support to several key functions including finance, investment, investor relations and corporate development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Timely preparation and presentation of Annual, Quarterly and Monthly Budget on Monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inadequacies
  • Compare monthly, quarterly and annual budgets against actual performance.
  • Analyze monthly financial results and provide insights and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth plans of the organization.
  • Prepare weekly liquidity reports/cashflow projections for all entities within your view
  • Ensure the preparation, remittance and timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and half-yearly statutory returns to the various regulators
  • Ensure accurate invoices are issued to clients in a timely manner
  • Follow up with clients on receivables and related WHT receipts
  • Coordinate periodic reviews of the ERM framework
  • Keep, organize and maintain all financial records of the Company & its funds
  • Prepare, analyze and present financial performance reports to the management and the board of the Company
  • Develop financial reporting templates for newly launched products
  • Quarterly presentation & analysis to the board of directors and shareholders of the Company on the financial performance and future outlook for the Company and its funds.
  • Provide financial and business insights to the Supervisor.
  • Work with the team to understand cost drivers and proactively looking for cost optimisation strategies.
  • Ensure the application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures within the department.
  • Drive automation and continuous process improvement
  • Work together with other departments and teams to stay in line with the overall objective of the business
  • Ensure timely completion of the annual audited accounts across various companies and funds simultaneously.
  • Liaise with service providers in a timely manner on accounting, regulatory, statutory, and other matters.
  • Manage relationships with bankers, regulators, tax officials, consultants and other relevant stakeholders
  • Other specific responsibilities as defined by the Supervisor or CFO.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or any other related discipline.
  • Professional Certification in ACCA/ACA is required.
  • 4-5 years experience in management, financial and fund accounting.
  • He / She should have strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of the financial statements, ratios, and analysis.
  • Experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.
  • A team player and goal-oriented individual.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and time-management skills.
