Job Title: Team Lead, Cybersecurity Operations

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Summary

  • The job holder will have responsibility systems and incidents monitoring in order to identify, detect or take necessary action to prevent potential intrusions or fraudulent activities.
  • The team will also identify and manage vulnerabilities and enforcing patch policies across all IT assets Review and Manage plan developed by the Bank from time to time to ensure the bank is well positioned to take advantage of information technology to enhance business growth and boost effective service delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Work with the bank’s MSSP regarding security incident monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management.
  • Monitor critical assets such as applications, databases, network devices and operating systems for suspicious or unauthorized activities.
  • Review and update the rules configured on all security monitoring tools to reflect changes in the business, technology, and the threat landscape.
  • Monitor threat intelligence feeds
  • Determine the threat level of specific assets within the Bank
  • Timely identification of emerging threats (new threats) based on correlation / research of events in the IT domain and feeds from threat intelligence sources
  • Keeping track of threat actors, their tactics, techniques and procedures He oversees the following sub-teams:
  • Threat and Vulnerability Management
  • Incident Response and system Monitoring

Key Performance Indicators

  • Existence of Risk Dashboard
  • Compliance to regulatory and global security standards.
  • Relevant report to top management and regulatory authorities
  • Security Incidents reporting within the Bank
  • Monthly KRI Report on Cyber threat intelligence (CTI), MDE, Vulnerability Management, Intune, SIEM, FIM etc.

Job Requirements

  • Good technology related University Degree preferably in Computer Science / Electrical Electronics Engineering or Numeric / Social Science.
  • Training/qualification in the following (CEH. CISM, ECSA, ITIL, ISO 27001, Network Security, Application Security, Database Security)
  • 6-10 years cognate IT/IT Security experience and Information Security

Job Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge and interest in IT Governance Practice
  • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Security Architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT Controls
  • In-depth knowledge of IT security principle and practice In-depth knowledge of IT strategy and Business strategy formulation
  • Ability to develop IT Security Policies 
  • Ability to conduct IT Risk Assessment

Skills / Competencies:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft platforms
  • Good Understanding of Microsoft platform
  • General Analytical Skills
  • Close attention to detail
