Job Title: Junior Project Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary & Purpose

  • Junior Project Managers are responsible for planning, organizing, and directing operations related to ongoing projects in the company.
  • They lead team members in the project development department and oversee company projects to make sure they are running as planned.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, commence, execute, supervise, and roundup assigned projects
  • Suggest strategies of achieving the project goals to the owner
  • Responsible for the flow of information from the project owner to the team regarding the project
  • Make provisions for the progress of the project
  • Pitching project ideas and securing approval before each project commences.
  • Developing new project plans in consultation with stakeholders, including clients and staff.
  • Outlining the human and material resources required to successfully complete each project.
  • Make the arrangement for projects documentation on the recommendation and specification of the owner and ensure that specifications are met
  • Ensure that the procedure, rules, regulations, and promulgated laws governing project management are well adhered to
  • Meet with the team and ensure that each member is given an opportunity to make suggestions regarding the executions of the project
  • Update information on the project management development, tools, regulations, market demand, and likely clients
  • Make arrangement for the project completion based on specifications of the project owner
  • Identifying needs that can be successfully addressed by projects.
  • Formulating a resource allocation strategy, and utilizing this to distribute work and finances.
  • Monitoring staff performance to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines.
  • Evaluating each project's effectiveness by consulting with clients, consumers, and staff.
  • Reporting on each project's utility upon the uptake of outputs.
  • Consulting with the assigned Project Manager to seek guidance and input during the key phase of each project.

Academic Qualification

  • Minimum of a First Degree in Social Science, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Project Management or any related field.

Professional Qualification:

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • PRINCE2® Foundation/ Practitioner is an advantage

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of work experience in the field of Project Management and/or Operations Management is required.

  • In-depth understanding of prevailing project management methods.
  • Forethought, with the capacity to identify and minimize risks.
  • Ability to detect and capitalize on others' strengths.
  • Good communication; written and spoken skills
  • Proficiency in analyzing and solving problems related to projects
  • Outstanding human relation skills evident in the ability to work with the team
  • Proficiency in customer relation
  • Excellence in gathering help needed in developing a working project management plan
  • Strong ability to give attention to details, as well as tested organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge and prowess in using modern information and communication technologies to projects
  • Ability to be proactive and independent, and to be interdependent on the team

Remuneration
N200,000 - N250,000 Monthly.
