Job Descriptions
- Incumbent will support the equipment management program of the organisation.
- Support installation, maintenance and repair plan for medical/laboratory equipment across supported sites to ensure that they are functional and at optimum performance level.
- Supervise equipment installation by vendors and trainings for supported user facility staff on usage and maintenance of such equipment.
- Conduct trainings for laboratory Scientist/Technician to perform regular maintenance for equipment and ensure continuity.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
- B.Sc or HND in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
- At least 5 years experience in the installation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and analyzers.
- Experience in maintaining equipment like Vitros DT 60 II, V250, Sysmex, Cobas, Partec Cyflow analyzers.
- A Medical laboratory background will be an added advantage.
- Registration with the Nigerian Institute for Biomedical engineering.
General Requirement
- The position requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite, computer applications and internet/ Emails.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills are essential.
- Significant amounts of travel may be involved.
- Commitment to and understanding of organization's vision, values and principles including rights-based/gender approaches would be expected.
