Job Title: Drilling Engineer
Location: Nigeria

Description
- Plan/Design drilling programs in accordance with industry recognized technical criteria and applicable drilling regulations, to achieve exploration objectives in a safe and cost effective manner.
- Prepare budget and monitor costs.
- Ensure procedures are technically valid and applicable to the specific well conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate well conditions in conjunction with the Field Engineers.
- Initiate other management systems or procedures as required during the program.
- Communicate with Service Contractors about technical issues and any changes in the drilling program.
- Provide offshore drilling engineering support.
- Provide support to clients and field engineers during drilling activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND / B.Sc in Engineering, Science, Geology or other technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years Oil & Gas Drilling experience with an operating company.
- Industry training in drilling technology and HSE.
- Demonstrate communication skills, technical maturity and flexibility to adjust to change.
- Good data management and computer literacy.
- Requires ability to read and interpret information well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well-site data.
