Cam is a Nigerian dairy company that aggregates raw milk from settled pastoralist communities and processes it into nutritious dairy products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Development Representative

Locations: Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria
Preferred Start Date: As soon as possible

Role Summary

  • We are looking for a self-starter that is committed and passionate about our purpose, ambition, and values to help launch our products in the retail market and build our brand and customer loyalty.
  • You will be responsible for business development, sourcing new leads, onboarding and managing B2B customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customise product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients
  • Report sales results to Area Sales Manager on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Stay up-to-date with competitor landscape, new products and services, and new pricing and payment plans
  • Create territory sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Ensure sustained profitability for all different SKUs and pack sizes
  • Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers at all times
  • Ensure efficient customer life value management
  • Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
  • Process order forms and requests

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum HND qualification (preferably in Business / Economics or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics))
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a sales role (entry level candidates with excellent sales skills will be considered)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools (ability to analyse spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Established relationships with relevant B2B clients (retailers, hotels, restaurants and cafés) is a plus.
