Since December, 2005 when the first Shoprite Nigeria store was launched in Lagos, the landscape of retail markets in Nigeria has been redefined. Currently, the company runs a hypermarket chain of 25 outlets across 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Professional Baker
Location: Jakande - Lekki, Lagos
Job Description
- Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream and edible toppings
- Bake different bread types of bread and pastries.
- Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
- Track food supplies and ensure that food recipes are ordered as needed
- Carry out other assignments as required in the bakery section
Requirements
- Experience as a Baker, pastry chef or similar role
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Experience in cake decoration.
