Job Description
- The Head – Poultry Division will ensure the safety and efficiency of poultry farm operations.
- Day to day running and supervision of farm operations
- In consultation with the Farm Manager and Supervisor, the Head – Poultry Division prioritizes tasks and decides on the necessary amount of machinery and number of workers.
- He/She will maintain proper records and creates reports on worker attendance, budget, supplies and animal growth.
- Staff Training & Development
- Control of fixed and loose assets as well as consumable.
- Ensure adequate Farm access control
- Provide staff training on a weekly basis.
- Control of fixed and loose assets as well as consumable.
- Keep a check on general maintenance works
- Follow procedures on bio security and disease control.
- Ensure adequate Farm access control
- Follow bio - security procedures.
- To make sure that the site staff works in a safe environment as per the safety regulations.
Desired Skills and Experience
- The Poultry Farm seeks a team-oriented professional with the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience managing 100,000 live birds or more
- Strong leadership skills, including experience managing and overseeing subordinates’ professional development
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English
- Project management experience
- Proven ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment
- Strong preference for B.SC/HND in Agricultural Science and MBA or other relevant advanced degree
