We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Consultant - Nigeria Based

Specific Purpose of Role
  • Reporting directly to the Principal Consultant of Restrata's Energy & Infrastructure security practice, this role is about building senior-level client relationships and delivering strategic and technical advisory services to help them manage their security-related risks.
  • Clients will be senior decision makers in multinational corporations, Governments and international organizations, and quasi-governmental organizations.
  • Core areas of advisory services will include crisis management, security strategy, market entry, system designs and risk management.
Specific Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Lead consulting projects, including:
  1. Providing thought leadership to drive towards solutions of client problems
  2. Leading research, writing overall project report and ensuring quality control of all products/deliverables
  3. Overall project management of deliverables and team members
  4. Interacting with clients at senior and working levels
  5. Presenting findings of work to team members and clients in an iterative and participative manner as needed
  • Production of written documentation, reports, and presentation materials covering:
  1. Physical Security Audits
  2. Security Master Planning
  3. Crisis Management Plans
  4. Operational Security Reviews
  5. Security Risk Assessments
  6. Security Systems Design Reports and Drawings
  • Proactively support business development efforts:
  1. Building trusted relationships with clients that lead to follow on work
  2. Building and developing a network of contacts and potential opportunities in target sectors
  3. Developing proposals for potential projects
  4. Providing functional and operational guidance for proposals and bids, working closely with Sales Support team
  • Establish and maintain relationships with partners and local business groups with a view to strengthening Restrata's offering.
  • Represent Restrata at senior level meetings and consultations with client representatives, government agencies and industry associates connected to specific projects, and at conferences and seminars
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Capabilities/Skills:
  • Senior level (minimum 10 years) experience as a security consultant, preferably in a top tier consulting firm
  • Industry experience in infrastructure security sector and/or government strongly preferred
  • Comfortable in a fast changing environment and able to work appropriate hours and in sometimes difficult locations
  • Able to travel extensively in Nigeria, on occasion and throughout Africa as required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, combined with a strategic perspective
  • Intellectual versatility and desire to work on projects across different areas
  • Ability to structure thinking in a logical and compelling way
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent people engagement (upward and downward management, client interaction) skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in an environment where drive and initiative are critical, is determined to succeed, and is comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Experience of working in challenging environments in the Middle East or Africa
Desirable Capabilities/Skills
  • Experience in Engineering Design of Physical and Electronic Security Systems
  • Experience of Working in Nigeria
  • Existing industry contacts and customer leads in Nigeria and across Africa
  • Degree-educated.
  • Industry qualifications such as PSP, CPP
