Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, Education and Economic strengthening services in Nigeria. Our LOCATE project; a CDC/PEPFAR HIV prevention, care and treatment program is currently seeking qualified candidates for the vacant position:

Overall Job Function
  • Timely and accurate reporting in LOCATE project depend largely on the Health Management information Systems developed in-house for data storage and retrieval synergizing with relevant reporting platforms in the country.
  • The incumbent will bring on board models that allow patient/facility level data entry, storage, analysis and interpretation.
  • The design must also allow for collaboration with other reportage platform developed by United States Centers for Disease Control and prevention Nigeria Office, United States Government, and Government of Nigeria.
Minimum Recruitment Standard
  • Qualifications shall include strong analytical thinking skills, efficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A programmer should be knowledgeable about the aspects of the particular business, such as finances for banking programs or artistic expression for graphic design programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; with a post graduate qualification in information technology. Database certification will be an added advantage
  • 2-3 years in data or business analysis or related field
  • High-level proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel (developer level), Access along with working application of analytical software (SAS or SPSS), and other programming languages like JAVA, MS-SQL,  MYSQL, ORACLE or any other RDBMS package.
  • Deployment of network/desktop packages
  • Solid understanding of database architecture and development
  • Knowledge of international messaging standards (especially HL7)
  • Excellent facilitation, mentoring, and communication skills to enable him conduct training and supervisions to LOCATE facilities staff
  • Knowledge of Health Informatics and experience in HIV/AIDS Patient Management and Monitoring software will be an added advantage
  • Ability to commit 40% of work time to sites support and supervision visits.

  • The position advertised is full time. ECEWS has a competitive compensation package.
