Royal Residences Lagos is a 5-star hospitality brand located in Victoria Island within the iconic Eden Heights apartment building. It has a number of hotel rooms, short-let apartments, a fine dining restaurant, a Spa, a gym, and a pool bar with an exclusively secured environment.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hotel Accountant

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • Protecting the Company's margins through control of hotel operational costs and maximization of income.
  • Assisting Hotel Management with the preparation of budgets and business plans for theachievement of the Hotel’s earnings objectives.
  • Driving rigorous and disciplined tracking of Hotel Operations results against targets, with closer monitoring of gaps and submission of accurate daily reports to Management, to promote a culture of higher performance across the organization.
  • Monthly reports on Hotel Revenue against budget and review of theCost of Sales.
  • Prepare accuratemonthly Financial Statementswith comparisons to budgets and previous periods for the Hotel,and maintain adequate supporting accounting records.
  • Ensuring compliance with Statutory deductions legislation as it relates to hotel operations.
  • Management of the Hotel’s Inventory ledger, daily monitoring of the transactions recorded, and monthlyreconciliation of the Inventory module with the General ledger control account.
  • Physical verification of hotel stock quantities, arranging monthly stock takingand monthly resolution of all stock variances.

Requisite Qualifications / Experience

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc. Degree (1st or 2nd Class Upper) in Social Sciences or Management
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Hotel Financial Management and Financial Accounting
  • Proficiency in the use ofEnterprise-wideAccounting applications such as OPERA, SAGE or SAP,MSOffice packages, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Must not be more than 40 years of age
