Ades was incorporated in 2004 and has been trading in the Royal Borough of Greenwich since then. Firstly as distributors of dried and smoked fish, and in 2006 the company expanded into selling catering supplies before opening the Cash & Carry in 2007. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo (On-site)
Job type: Full-time

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send invoices to clients
  • Contact clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices
  • Reconcile any irregularities in receipts
  • Maintain precise records of all incoming payments
  • Performing all other account reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
  • Assisting in general financial management and analysis
  • Generating account statements
  • Work collaboratively with accounts payable and other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances
  • Audit all receipts on a determined schedule to ensure accuracy in accounting
  • Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed
  • Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payment
  • Performing all other tasks assign by the finance team

Educational and Professional Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc or HND in Accounting
  • Party qualified (ICAN ACCA)

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of (2) years cognate working experience (preferably in retail industry)
  • Ability to use Sage 200 accounting software

Skills:

  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • Problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills, ability to prioritise and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work well in a team and build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent IT skills - Proficiency in MS Office specifically in excel.
  • The desire to learn and take on new challenges.
