Job Title: Lead Copywriter / Editor-in-chief

Job Summary

• We are searching for a Lead Writer/Editor-in-chief who will be in-charge of creating product-savvy copy for our website and managing our team of in-house and contract writers for our health and lifestyle blog
• The person will be in charge of coordinating content strategy, reviewing submissions and managing day-to-day content activities.

Responsibilities

• Create great sales copy for our website and other brand collaterals
• Create topics and blog calendar based on product priorities
• Manage the content output from contract and medical writers
• Review and approve content pieces and images for the Doctall website and blog
• Work closely with the rest of the marketing team to develop health content based on insight and consumer needs
• Ensure all information in articles and stories are search-engine optimised, properly fact checked and plagiarism checked
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends
• Give detailed reports on content performance.

Qualifications

• You should have a Degree / Diploma in Journalism, Communications or a related field
• 4-5 years of experience as an editor in a newspaper/Magazine or similar role, with at least 2 years experience in a managerial position
• Excellent writing, research and coordination skills
• Proficient use of wordPress and other CMS tools
• Solid understanding of Google Analytics
• Expert knowledge of SEO
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good time-management skills.

Salary
N400,000 monthly.
