We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Executive

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

• Provide accurate, timely, and relevant financial data and assist delivering outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to book of accounts, documenting business transactions. Preparing Financial Statements in the IFRS approved format for Executive Management
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register with the associated journal entries
• Manage & control Petty Cash System
• Verify and reconcile contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
• Ensuring legislation is followed regarding statutory returns such as VAT and PAYE
• Ensure the adequate insurance cover on company’s assets
• Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
• Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
• Maintain banking relationships
• Oversee the extension of credit to customers
• Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods
• Assisting in preparing budgets and business planning, including projected room revenue
• Ensure that the guests have best possible experience by trouble-shooting and resolving all billing-related disputes.
• Bills A/R accounts daily and send the same to guest along with the supporting bills and statements.
• Review the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Ageing reports on a daily basis.
• Check customers credit ratings and Flag accounts as 'Black listed' for long outstanding or defaulter accounts.
• Managing all Travel Agent commissions and releasing payments after verification.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 5 - 10 years work experience.
