We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Control Manager (Rice Mill)

Location: Kano

Job Description

• Manage Quality Control procedures for incoming Rough and Milled Rice, mill production QC checks, packaged rice QC including rice and packaging materials.
• Manage plant safety policies and procedures are being followed, monitor and update as needed. Conduct safety meetings and training for all employees.
• Complete accident reports and accident investigations including corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure PPE equipment and supplies are in stock.
• Assist Production Manager to ensure warehouse operations are following FIFO procedures, warehouses are maintained properly, truck inspections and associated documentation is accurate.
• Achieve consistent quality with zero defects in collaboration with all stakeholders by constantly developing, planning and implementing quality systems & processes and training of plant personnel;
• Develop, plan and implement quality systems to meet Food Safety standards;
• Ensure food safety requirements including PRPs, audit processes (factory, market, warehouse, etc.), conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective action plan, review compliance status for all the quality related observations and lead the process of sharing observations with all stakeholders for implementation/closure;
• Responsible for quality checks for better production and high yield during processing;
• Setup, maintain and operate lab to meet all requirements of testing of incoming, in-process and finished goods consistently;
• Coordination with external laboratories and external calibration agencies for all testing requirements and new methods;
• Support vendor quality improvement programs and looking for opportunities for improvement with vendors;
• Overall responsibility for managing the quality of rice milling operations;
• Perform Quality incident investigation and corrective actions;
• Monitoring end-to-end QA process and logistics;
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Manage plant sanitation procedures are effective and documented including outside vendor (IPM) work.

Job Requirements
Qualifications Essential / Desirable:

• B.Agri / HND in any related field or any other related professional qualification.
• 4 to 7 years working experiences in a Rice Mill Industry.
