Job Title: Quality Control Officer (Paint)

Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Roles & responsibilities

• Monitors product packaging, and coordinated inspections for offsite locations
• Restructures and conducts pallet inspections, and maintained logs for management to review
• Weighs and tests incoming shipments, enter reports into access database
• Performs and document visual and dimensional inspection and physical testing of incoming and in-process components and finished products
• Inspects product labels prior to use or storage
• Print adequate additive drum labels In line with the given COA and ensure effective packaging
• Carry out quality control audits in the company’s laboratory, drum plant and PEARL every quarter and report findings to the line manager.
• Prepares, maintains and updates reports on quality control, HSE and paint supplier reliability as required by the line manager.
• Identifies, labels and controls non-conforming products during the manufacturing process
• Investigate in-process product and process nonconformance and effectively determine the scope of the non-conformance(s)
• Communicate to peers, manufacturing, maintenance personnel and management, the occurrence of in-process product and process nonconformity
• Improve productivity and eliminate redundancies by making sure that all machine settings and all protocols are followed before each run during my shift
• Follow SOPs at all times to ensure that both quality and other standards are all met accordingly
• Cover for General Manager Operations on matters concerning Quality control, HSE and Paint supply management while on vacation.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess an HND, B.Sc or Master's Degree
• 3-5 years of experience as a QC Officer in a paint manufacturing company.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 / Month.
