We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Inventory Clerk

Location: Obinze, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The role of an Inventory Clerk is to keep track of the goods and supplies in a store or warehouse and manage orders to facilitate sales or production. Their duties include signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand.
  • Maintaining and keeping track of receipts, records, and withdrawals of the storeroom
  • Receiving, unloading, and shelving of materials, plants and equipment.
  • Executing other stock-related duties which may include returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies
  • Examining and reviewing deliveries for discrepancies and damages and reporting to necessary personnel for reimbursements and record keeping
  • Cleaning construction equipment and testing them to ensure functionality
  • Overseeing and/or exercising general control over all the tools and activities of the store
  • Inspecting the construction site and ensuring that all tools and/or equipment are complete and in good shape
  • Answering questions regarding procedures and resolving issues that may arise on receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs, and surplus supply.
  • Assist in coordinating the delivery of materials, plant and equipment
  • Collect and complete records needed for daily and weekly site reports
  • Work collaboratively with the Foreman and report to the Project Manager
  • Communicating project progress to key stakeholders (ex: client, architects, engineers, etc.)

Qualifications We Are Looking for

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of OND or HND credit or B.Sc lower division in Architecture, Building or Engineering or relevant job field/position
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience.
  • Must have relevant experience in construction or civil engineering as well as appropriate health and safety training
  • Intermediate knowledge and technical skills in Microsoft Office

The Ideal Candidate must

  • Ability to pay particular attention to detail, as supervising the store of a construction site, as well as a team of workers involves many different factors
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills since a construction site store keeper must be able to adequately communicate with workers, supervisors, vendors, contractors, subcontractors, and so on
  • Excellent management skills, since he or she is in charge of maintaining all the tools and equipment of the construction site and also ensure that they are safe and well-maintained
  • Strong management and multitasking skills and financial acumen
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to changes in the work schedule/work plan
  • First aid training and a good understanding of safety procedures
  • Good understanding of legal responsibilities and welfare issues
