Job Title: Facility Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • General supervision and training of maintenance technicians.
  • Inspects building and equipment for preventive maintenance and detect malfunctions.
  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Supervise all maintenance facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
  • Carryout and supervises plumbing maintenance activities within the facility.
  • Carryout and supervise electrical maintenance activities in the facility.
  • Supervise painting and remodeling of the facility.
  • Hire, train, and motivate facility personnel. Maintain positive staff relations. Conduct or approve performance evaluations for staff.
  • Develop and execute system for regular cleaning, repair, and maintenance of facilities.
  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
  • Product and equipment ordering and shipping.
  • Ensure to the adherence of Health, Safety and Environment procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, Electrical or Civil Engineering is required.
  • Health, Safety and Environment procedures.
  • Communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing.
  • Analytical, Decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to lead and manage teams and projects.
  • Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture.
  • Customer service, team working, time management, prioritizing and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload.
  • Proactive thinking, procurement, and negotiation proactive thinking.
  • Maintaining & optimizing facilities and ability to streamlining processes
