Framegidi was founded by Oladapo Salami, a real-estate/interior photographer and art enthusiast in 2019 as a full-service custom framing and art printing/sale business aimed at taking the hassle out of custom framing for the average design-conscious individuals. The idea for framegidi came from seeing a void in the Nigerian market for full-service custom framing after a series of unsuccessful attempts at having frames made from the typical local framing shops. The business was then set up to solve that problem and make custom framing much easier for people.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a Head of Operations to help us optimize and scale our custom framing business.
  • The Operations Manager plans, develops, and leads a team within the business to excel in the areas of creative processes; production, safety & quality control; communication and customer deliveries.
  • The Operations Manager is accountable for developing and installing consistent assembly and material flow processes within their areas of responsibility.
  • The processes and workflows will drive very high levels of performance, quality yields, and deliveries based upon customer order dates.
  • The Operations Manager will lead the team to ensure that production goals are met consistently.
  • The Operations Manager will communicate cooperatively across the organization to ensure the business performs that the highest levels.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Management, you will have direct access to all employees critical to your job role and make recommendations for additional resources where necessary.
  • Coordinate and organize the experience centre and guide the day-to-day operations of the creative team
  • Own supply chain, operations, distribution, and quality across all our current and future fulfilment locations
  • Ensure and be responsible for safe operating process and the safety of the Production area.
  • Create and lead teams to identify designs/solutions, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve efficiencies, controls and service quality
  • Own and optimize production cost model across material, labour, packaging, shipping, freight and overhead.
  • Manage production schedules, contracts, and invoices ensuring on-time delivery within budget
  • Analyze new and existing operations processes to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, cost reduction and service improvements.
  • Support the implementation of new products/services in coordination with the company vision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced consumer business
  • Proficiency with at least two creative design applications - Photoshop, Illustrator etc
  • Lean Certified, or Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar experience (Toyota Production System, etc.).

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience working in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, operations, engineering, or consulting environment.
  • Experience with high-growth Small and Medium Scale Business
  • Experience utilizing creative design applications/tools
  • Experience in delivering performance management feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Track record of managing and/or supporting large projects from start to finish, including project management, problem solving and delivering recommendations
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
  • Exceptional verbal, mathematical and written communication skills
