Solid Rock Hospital (Medical and Dental clinic) is a privately owned and an ultra-modern Hospital with 26 beds located at No. 6 Akinsanya Street Ojodu Lagos. The Hospital was founded on June 21, 1992. It is fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with Registration number: RC. 219842. We offer both Medical and Dental Services to our clients. Among the services offers include but not limited to; surgeries, General medical services, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, immunization, Family planning, ENT, orthopaedic, Children intensive care services, comprehensive dental care services, inpatient care services, Paediatrics, Ultrasound services / ECG, Emergency services, Ambulance services, Dietetics, Laboratory services etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
He/She will:

  • Perform a variety of technical laboratory procedures according to Solid Rock Hospital laboratory Standard Operating Procedure and national standards.
  • Obtain patient specimens and use it to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease
  • Prepare tissue for microscopic examination
  • Determine blood type for transfusions and other purposes.
  • Conduct medical research and analyses.
  • Operates and maintains sophisticated instruments and equipments used in the department.
  • Maintains competence in Laboratory Information System that is crucial to the quality operations of the laboratory and patient care.
  • Actively participates in Quality Improvement Programs.Ensure that laboratory testing is accurate, timely and meets customer needs.
  • Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of OND qualification with 2 - 10 years relevant work experience.
  • He / she must be a licensed Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • Must be able to properly set up, calibrate, maintain, operate and shut down such instruments.
  • Must possess people skills
  • Good Communication skills
  • Able to work together as part of a team
  • Able to maintain a safe, clean work environment
  • Superb documentation skills
  • Must reside within Lagos.
