Job Title: Cable Landing Station Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Cable Landing Station Equipment and the Cable Station services located in the Cable Station Building in accordance with the equipment supplier's recommended operation and maintenance procedures.
• Service of Cable Station equipment. Investigate faults and rectify work as required under the direction of the NOC
• Minimize the duration of repair operations and provide clear definition of responsibilities for repair managemant 
• Develop maintenance service KPIs.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• University Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunication or Computer Science from a reputable University.
• Minimum of 10 years telecoms experience of which at least 2 years in Cable Landing Station environment.
• Experience of network monitoring tools
• Good network diagnostic skills
• Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly
• Very good understanding of SLTE and PFE submarine network equipment.
• Advanced understanding of DWDM, OTN, SDH and IP networks including troubleshooting techniques 
• Desirable requirement: experience with Alcatel-Lucent (1620LM) and Huawei (OSN8800) and Power Feeding Equipment.
