Job Purpose

  • Responsible for reporting of service provisions, analyzing program information, discuss findings and provide feedback to stakeholders and program teams on the performance of the OVC component of the project across supported states.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the routine monthly update and implementation of OVC program in all supported states.
  • Provide technical assistance to state OVC focal persons and CBO staff on data quality and ensure all OVC data is inputted into the NOMIS database platform.
  • Support the documentation of OVC services on all service provision tools and reporting platforms remotely through provision of technical assistance.
  • Support state OVC program and M and E focal persons to ensure timely and effective documentation of OVC case files
  • Support the deployment of NOMIS updates for the smooth functioning of the project’s National OVC Information Management System (NOMIS).
  • Conduct gap analysis and compile data feedback to facilitate effective monitoring of program performance against targets, to measure the progress of the program activities.
  • Ensure all timelines for various reports are met and all submitted reports meet all expectations for quality, consistency and completeness.
  • Prepare and upload data into the NOMIS SHIELD platform online for reporting to CDC
  • Support the visualization of data for stakeholder engagement and ensure overall OVC data protection.
  • Participate in Data Quality Assessment exercise visits to the field to validate case files and data onsite.
  • Serve as point of contact for OVC Monitoring and Evaluation for the organization.
  • Support the development of performance monitoring, continuous quality improvement and capacity building plan for all supported CBOs.
  • Support the development of appropriate monitoring, tracking, and reporting tools for the OVC program.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings and program related forums as required for program implementation.
  • Carry out other assigned duties to support the Monitoring and Evaluation need for other thematic areas.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.Sc or HND in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, Sociology, Economics or related fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in reporting position with Local or International NGOs; preferably in Care and treatment.
  • Experience with DHIS, DATIM, NDR and RADET reporting a plus. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access required.
  • Experience with data form design, collection and data entry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large amount of information. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
