Job Description
  • Executive responsibility for safe, efficient, and profitable operations in the sourcing, execution and completion of Civil and/or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering works
  • Lead the subsidiary in meeting its financial and operational goals.
  • Ensure the application of proper operational, technical and management controls and procedures, reporting, management resources, and functional support.
  • Developing and implementing the strategy, managed growth of the subsidiary and providing leadership to staff.
  • Coordinating and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams including project managers, Engineers, consultants & sub-contractors enabling speedy resolutions and final approval of all EPCI contracts.
  • Supervised the project progress and/or delays through letters which can be used as contractual aids during disputes
  • Facilitate budget analysis and budget variance study, cost control and project schedule tracking using Earned Value management techniques.
  • Managed EPCI - QC inspection schedules, attended site inspections and quality tests, recommended improvements in order to correct/repair site deficiencies, instrumental in the daily planning and administering of the quality assurance program.
  • Pro-actively coordinated and motivated EPCI subcontractors for the successful completion of project requirements and schedules demanding a clear understanding of HLG`s expectations.
  • Facilitate monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of cost to complete figures.
  • Manage the timely submission and successful closure of final Close-Out documentation.
  • Lead operational, project, and commercial management strategies, decision making, and implementation.
  • Customer Relationship Management and interfaces between operations and project management.
  • Ensure effective commercial and contractual management and negotiations with clients.
  • Lead and/or approve highest level dispute and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure appropriate contract risk assessment and response during project bidding and execution.
  • Lead claims, protests, and dispute resolution and oversee client negotiations.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • University degree (Civil/Structural Engineering ), a minimum of 15 years progressive management experience in EPCI contracts.
  • An MBA or International Business Management degree will be an added advantage
  • Project management experience of 10 years minimum is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Middle East construction industry( Residency In Dubai or Abu Dhabi will be an added advantage)
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to lead and manage diverse team of employees in various locations.
  • Sound business acumen.
  • Good knowledge of the business drivers in the Middle East region.
