Job Title: Social Media Manager

Job Description

  • Develop creative and engaging social media strategies
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram, adapting content to suit different channels
  • Oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms
  • Create engaging multimedia content (and/or outsource this effectively) across multiple platforms
  • Develop, launch and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote your organization and brand
  • Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
  • Undertake audience research
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
  • Monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
  • Analyze competitor activity
  • Recommend improvements to increase performance
  • Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement
  • Manage a budget for social media activities
  • Educate other staff on the use of social media and promote its use within your company
  • Encourage collaboration across teams and departments
  • Regularly liaise with clients via telephone, email, or conference calls

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND with at least 3+ years of working experience in a similar role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior customer relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in the use of word processing software tools
  • Good creative writing skills
  • An analytical mind and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven work experience as a Social media manager
  • Hands-on experience in content management
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, Google Analytics, and IT skills
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
