Job Title: Human Resource Executive

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are recruiting a Human Resource Executive who will be responsible for providing Generalist service across the functional areas of the Human Resource function.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Work with department leaders to identify resource requirements, collaborate with departmental heads to understand skills and competencies required for various openings and develop recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare interview materials, send behavioral assessments and facilitate the selection process.
  • Responsible for coordinating and conducting the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Support HR leadership in driving the performance appraisal cycle on annual basis or as determined and ensure collation of appraisal outcomes and present the same for Management’s decision
  • Preparation of monthly payroll schedule and sharing the same with payroll officer
  • Maintain historical and current employees' records and files in the most effective manner
  • Handle employees' grievance issues, disciplinary actions, exit interviews, redundancies, terminations, and dismissals.
  • Work with leaders to provide coaching and guidance on creating high-performance teams and employment-related matters.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and determine the training and development needed to fill the gaps identified.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Investigate incidents as they arise and report findings and recommendations to the company.
  • Participate in ad hoc HR projects within the department as assigned
  • Develop and implement strategies and initiatives that contribute to overall organizational success and high-performance team development including performance management, succession planning, performance development planning, and mentorship programs.
  • Work with leaders to ensure these processes meet the needs of the business and are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Track probation review and initiate confirmation process for new hires

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in Human Resources
  • Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
  • Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
  • Attention to detail and good judgement.
