Job Title: Website Design/Developer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Requirements
  • PHP, MYSQL, HTML/CSS.
  • Preferred skill(s): Javascript (jQuery), AJAX, Testing Methodology, UI Design.
  • 1/2 years+ commercial experience
  • Experience working with WordPress and other CMS’
  • Good hand-coding ability in HTML, HTML5 and CSS3
  • An understanding of Javascript, PHP and Bootstrap beneficial
  • Video editing skills a bonus
  • Support and maintain existing web & mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design
  • Familiarity with best practices in UI/UX design and designing for multiple screen resolutions
  • Understanding and working knowledge of HTML/CSS, Dreamweaver and 3rd party email senders
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task across projects
  • Extremely and demonstrably well organised.
  • Efficient with a can do attitude
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Assisting in overall planning, researching, developing and testing.
  • Design software and database architecture for our web & mobile applications.
  • Build effective web applications that will aid and enhance user experience.
  • Work independently and proactively to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects.
  • Keep up to date with latest web technologies, trends and programming techniques.
  • Management of hosting services, security certificates and working with service providers where required to ensure their sites and servers remain patched and secure.
  • Development of internal systems, processes and documentation required to support the complete management of the company’s web presence.
  • Liaising with the senior management team to discuss and suggest new features and applications, and developing these ideas into useable solutions.
  • Constant development and review of the existing websites to ensure ease of use for their customers and staff.
  • Developing & delivering creative front end content solutions for home pages and content features.
  • Ensuring builds are accessible and work across multiple browsers and devices
  • Advise and help mentor team members in learning new ways of working.
  • Bring creative responsive content to the forefront of www.myspice.tv.
  • Deliver more engaging online advertising formats in Flash.
