Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Reports To: National Sales Manager
Locations: Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt
Department: Sales / Marketing

Job Purpose Summary
  • The role will ensure the delivery of exceptional operational and commercial standards throughout the Area.
  • The Area Sales professional should be able to prospect target accounts for new business, maintain an existing territory of business as well as establish and work with partners.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Functional Duties:
  • Maintaining and increasing sales of the company's products
  • To pro-actively contribute to the formulation and direction of the retail strategy in the area.
  • Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base
  • Servicing the needs of your existing customers.
  • Provide a consultative solutions sales process to prospects
  • Conducts one-on-one and group sales presentations
  • Responsible for tracking customer information, forecasts and reports
  • Setting sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole
  • To manage payroll budgets in line with Area sales performance.
  • Collecting customer feedback and market research
Required Skills and Attribute
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • The ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Outstanding Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and multi-task and work independently or within a team
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • 5-8 years working experience an area sales manager.
Required Educational Qualification(s)
  • First Degree (B.Sc.) in Pharmacy.
  • Member of National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) is an added advantage.
  • An MBA degree is an added advantage.
Other Requirements:
  • Self-confidence, decisiveness and common sense.
  • High degree of computer literacy a must.
  • Fluency in English required, Yoruba and other language is a plus.
  • Analytical skill set, strong presentation skills, ability to interact with any level within an organization.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Age Range: 35 - 40 years
