We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bank Accountant

Location: Ilorin, Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Compiling, analyzing and reporting financial data.
• Recording daily revenue andexpenditure.
• Creating periodic reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, etc.
• Presenting data to managers, investors and required parties.
• Maintaining accurate financial records.
• Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
• Checking and reviewing the monthly payroll, contractual staff salaries and the salary slips to ensure accuracy.
• Carrying out monthly variance analysis, correcting and reporting same.
• Carrying out accounting activities in line with professional codes of practice, generally accepted accounting principles and standards and service level agreements.
• Recording and filing withholding tax, VAT and PAYE data.
• Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Reconciling bank statements, cash accounts, accounts receivable and payable balances on a monthly basis.
• Maintaining awareness of current industry trends, technology, and developments.
• Carrying out assigned duties in an honest manner.
• Carryoing out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.Sc. Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Accountant.

• Great computer skills.
• High integrity and attention to detail.
• Sound numerical skills and a strong level of accuracy.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Ability to work well with minimal or no supervision.
