Job Title: MEP Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Perform risk, value management, and cost control
• Advise on a procurement strategy
• Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks
• Prepare and analyze costings for tenders and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Perform risk, value management, and cost control
• Advise on a procurement strategy
• Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks
• Prepare and analyze costings for tenders
• Allocate work to subcontractors
• Provide advice on contractual claims
• Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports
• Value completed work and arrange payments
• Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Minimum Educational Qualification & Professional Experience

• University Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, or a related field from a reputable higher institution of learning.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the construction/Engineering industry with a focus on Electromechanical, Firefighting, HVAC, and plumbing projects.
• Professional certification such as Membership in the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors(NIQS), Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (QSRBN), and other Professional bodies will be an added advantage
• Project management Certification will be an added advantage
• Health & Safety Certification will be an added advantage
• Only QS from MEP industry are required to apply
