We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Social Media Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: COO

Main Function

  • As a Social Media Manager, you will spend your days planning and executing social media strategies, creating and publishing content to a variety of platforms, and interacting with our communities and audiences.
  • You will also need to measure results by tracking metrics and insights on each platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creating content, including text posts, video and images for use on social media (such as: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat)
  • Promoting products, services and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with an organisation’s brand and social media strategy
  • Scheduling social media posts using applications such as Hootsuite and TweetDeck
  • Interacting with customers and dealing with customers’ enquiries
  • Developing new social media strategies and campaigns
  • Managing a budget to be spent on promoting social media posts and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising
  • Keeping track of data and analysing the performance of social media campaigns
  • Collaborating with colleagues from across marketing departments to ensure branding is consistent
  • Meeting with clients and other stakeholders (such as social media influencers). These meetings may involve pitching potential marketing campaigns.
  • Establish best practices and analyze competitor activity to share with key team members.
  • Expand and engage the social community with daily listening, maintenance, conversation, and monitoring across platforms.
  • Engage, grow, and convert social media fans and followers.
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
  • Help manage and prioritize real-time audience communication across social channels.
  • Develop new approaches for market development, acquiring and analyzing data, and consulting with Field Marketing Manager on local market input
  • Explore new social platforms for opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze social media strategies weaknesses, make recommendations for improvements, research social media trends, and set key performance indicators for social media campaigns.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of practice in digital marketing and social media management

Knowledge, Skills and Behavioural Competencies:

  • Experience leading social media strategy across functions global markets, industry experience a big plus.
  • Efficiency and top-notch organizational skills
  • Proficient in using social media management tools.
  • Experience identifying the target audience, segmenting, and growing
  • Excellent attention to detail and an intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members at all levels
  • Ability to collect and interpret both qualitative and quantitative feedback
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experienced in using social media platforms to drive conversion rates, improve online engagement, increase e-commerce sales and grow followers.
