AAO-Tasalach Limited - Our client is a medium-sized Law firm that provides comprehensive legal services to corporate bodies on general commercial matters and complex commercial transactions.
They are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Corporate / Commercial Lawyer
Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements such as Gas Plant Agreements, Share Sale and Purchase Agreements, Loan and Banking Agreements. Power Purchase Agreements, Concession Agreements and all other related commercial Agreements.
- Conversant with preparing documents for capital market transactions e.g. legal documents for capital market transactions.
- Advising internal clients and liaising with other third parties in the giving of commercial advice and the drafting of commercial documents
- Advising clients of the legal and business implications of proposed transactions, anticipating legal and contractual concerns and devising strategies to resolve them.
- Develop expertise in relevant legal regimes, including data privacy laws and industry standards and intellectual property, in order to facilitate regulatory and internal compliance.
- Helping gather and prepare legal documents
- Writing and editing commercial reports
Job Requirements
- A good academic qualification with at least a Second Class Upper Degree from a recognised university and the Nigerian Law School.
- Relevant post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Not less than 10 years active transactional experience
- Must have worked in the commercial department of a top commercial law firm.
- Must have experience in capital market transactions and experience in drafting related documentation.
- Team-working ability.
- Ability to meet up with deadlines.
- Ability to work without supervision.
