Ignatius Ajuru University of Education was established by the University of Education Law No. 8 of 2009 of the Rivers State Government passed by the Rivers State House of Assembly on 15 October 2009 and assented to by His Excellency, Chief Rotimi Amaechi, the Executive Governor of Rivers State on 20 October 2009.

Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates for appointment into the under-listed staff vacancy:

Job Title: Deputy Director of Physical Planning

Qualification
  • The Deputy Director of Physical Planning shall have a good honours degree and Masters degree in Architecture.
  • He shall be a member of Institute of Architecture or any other recognized professional body of equivalent status.
  • In addition to the foregoing the Deputy Director of Physical Planning should have not less than ten (10) years post qualification experience preferably in Physical Planning and four (4) of which must have been served in a senior management position.
Remuneration
Salary Scale: CONUAS 14

Condition of Service

The conditions of service are the same, as those of similar Universities within the Rivers State Public Service. Please note that inline with the provision of the University Law, Principal Officers positions are of a period of five years and may be extended for another term of five years upon satisfactory performance.
