A school located in Lagos (Ojodu) is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Head Teacher

Location:
Lagos

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the administrative success of all school programs.
  • Ensure that the school is in compliance with all applicable governmental laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate scheduling of and attend all school functions and activities.
  • Execute the financial policy set by the Board of Directors, including communicating Board policy to parents and prospective parents.
  • Sourcing for teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Administer equitable system of professional development of all teaching staff.
  • Periodic training and counseling of staff.
  • Constantly explore avenues to increase enrollment.
  • Work with teachers to coordinate the curricula (review and implementation).
  • Guide teachers in achieving their educational goals (including the weekly review of lesson plans, notes and aids.
  • Set milestones for classes and assessment of teachers for achievement.
  • Observation and/or supervision of teaching.
  • Ensure the environment Is conducive and that pupils’ learning needs are met.
  • Maintain all statutory & regulatory records and ensure pupils files are up to date.
  • Liaise with the administrative staff to ensure an aesthetically attractive and safe environment.
  • Knowledge of the British National Curriculum and e-learning would be added advantages.
Academic Qualifications
  • A first degree from a reputable University (minimum of Second Class).
  • A Master's degree.
  • At least one of the degrees Must be in Education.
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 (ten) years experience at the elementary level: two of which must have been in a similar role.

  • A good organizer with ability to manage different demands on time.
