Job Title: Security Officer

Job Description
- The overall responsibility of the Security officer is to see to the day to day supervision of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Teaches and enforces safety regulations at the work site.
- Establishes security patrol priorities.
- Supervises all duties of a Security Guard.
- Teaches and enforces safety regulations at the work site.
- Establishes security patrol priorities.
- Reviews utilization and maintenance of security equipment.
- Prepares daily and periodic reports to Registrar regarding activities.
- Takes predetermined action and render first aid in emergencies such as accident, fire
- Assists in the development of security policy and procedure
- Maintains Orders and organized environment
- Trains branch and security guard staff in safety practices and methods used to detect fraudulent transactions.
- Leads and monitor emergency control program implementation; ensures that branch activities comply with policies, procedures and practice
Skills and Competencies
- Must be able to work with minimal Supervision
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent Supervisory skills
- Good People Management
- Must be vigilant and observant
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicant must have at least 7 years’ experience in similar capacity.
- A Bachelors Degree from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Degree.
- Must be a Senior Security Personnel, retired senior police, military or DSS officer
