We are Uni-medical Healthcare Ltd Nigeria, a subsidiary of Unigloves Singapore, owned by UG Healthcare cooperation. Unigloves is one of the largest manufacturers of disposable products for the dental, medical, nursing, hospital sectors and for the industry. Our manufacturing company is N. S. UNI- Gloves in Malaysia.

We are also key distributors of infection control products of our partners who are particular about quality - B Braun Melsugen, a German company with 175 years of sharing expertise in the field of manufacturing medical and pharmaceuticals products. The company’s Head Office is located at Plot B2, Block 73f. Alakoso Avenue, Amuwo Odofin Industrial Estate, Lagos with marketing offices in Abuja, Kano,Asaba, and Enugu.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resources Officer

Job Description

  • We are looking for a skilled HR Officer who will recruit, support, and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. You will be responsible for administrative tasks and contribute to making the company a better place to work.
  • The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to employees and managers.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Deal with staff welfare and administration-centered activities
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Managing the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, check application forms, shortlist, interview, select successful candidate/s and inform unsuccessful ones.
  • Responsible for the organization, administration of Health insurance scheme, Group Life, and document renewal such as ITF, Pencom certificate and all other benefit packages.
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Analyze training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintain accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.

Requirements and skills

  • Degree in Humanities or Business-related field, or relevant field; further training will be a plus
  • Membership of CIPM is an added advantage
  • 3-5 years of proven experience and knowledge as HR Officer, administrator
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Communication, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Have a clear understanding of the business objectives and be able to devise and implement policies that support them.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and explain employment law for best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities

Working hours:

  • You will generally work a standard 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
  • The role is mainly office based but may involve travel to outstation offices.
